"Our students are like seeds we've planted. We water them, we give them
fertilizer, we make sure they have the right amount of sunlight, but at some point
we just have to sit back and watch them grow."

Thank you for stopping by; I am happy to share a little about myself. This will be my seventh year teaching at Heritage Middle School. My husband and I have a very large furbaby family. We have 4 rescue animals -Ramona, who recently celebrated her 13th birthday, Doc a.k.a. "Shrimpy" a 3 yr old chiweenie, and our cats Hunter and Fuzzy.
In my free time I love to craft and play raquetball.
Before becoming a teacher I worked at Best Buy for over 8 years and have lived all over Texas including Houston, El Paso and now Irving. I still get lost everywhere I go in this city, but I am proud to call it home. I graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a Minor in Education. I am currently teaching Spanish level 1, and I absolutely love it! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to apply my 21 years of studying the Spanish language & culture in the classroom in a way that gets the students excited to learn a new language.
I know how challenging it can be to learn a foreign language for the first time as I also endured this struggle. With many years of practice I have acquired many methods that aid in encouraging fluency in foreign language, and I look forward to a wonderful year!
